​THE OTHER BAND

The Other Band was formed in 1992 by several members of other local folk bands. Its purpose was to give younger less experienced musicians a platform to perform and to keep alive traditional folk music.  At one point we had 26 musicians aging from 10 to 60.

We are now a core group of 8 experienced musicians which includes an accordion, melodion, fiddle, bass, guitar and drums. We also include two callers who are sure to get everyone up dancing.
